This full-day tour has it all; iceberg-filled fjords, stunning scenery, magnificent alpine and tidewater glaciers, towering waterfalls and world-class wildlife. It is also our most popular single-day sea kayaking trip. You meet us at the Liquid Adventures office at 7:45 the morning of your trip and the water taxi will pick us up right out in front of our shop.
This is an excellent introduction to the wonders of sea kayaking in Alaska and offers flexible itineraries and an option to add additional days to enhance your experience.
If kayaking in a true “wild” seascape is on your agenda, a trip to Northwestern Lagoon and Harris Bay may be the best choice. This remote kayak camping tour offers 8-15 miles of paddling per day, with a possibility of moving camps, or, more time to linger and travel.
See what lies beyond the next cove as you paddle your sea kayak a bit further into Resurrection Bay. We’ll stop and walk a short, forested trail to a cascading waterfall, identifying the wildflowers as we go. Next, on to North Beach and if time allows, we’ll hike to historic Fort McGilvary and explore the maze of underground passages in this abandoned WWII bunker.
Our 3-hour excursion is ideal for those with limited time or a tight schedule. We will begin with basic sea kayak instruction and once on the water, your guide will also provide an informative narration about the small, fascinating creatures in the intertidal zone and geological features along the rocky shoreline.
“The guides were very caring and patient. I made friends for a lifetime.”
