Chris has spent most of his life on, in, or near the ocean and has worked in the outdoors as a professional adventure guide for over two decades. An avid waterman, his passion for the sea is truly contagious. Chris began paddling in 1983 and has lead kayak trips in California, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, and Western Samoa. He is a regular presenter at kayak symposiums and instructional clinics. When he’s not in Alaska; Chris likes to spend time exploring the magnificent Baja Peninsula, where he once paddled the length of the Sea of Cortez; a 52-day, solo journey.
