Camping on Bear Lagoon Beach outside of Seward Alaska is a trip in itself. Be as active as you wish- hike and beach comb a 3 mile long gulf of alaska beach, kayak all day up to the face of Kenai Fjords largest glacier, or paddle board around massive icebergs.
This trip is beyond radical. Our cache of boats and boards are right at the edge of the lagoon, giving us easy entry into the spectacular beauty of Bear Glacier Lagoon
Upon arrival at our camp, we'll unload our gear and hop in the kayaks or on top of the paddle boards to start exploring. We'll immediately be padding in another world of massive icebergs, islands, waterfalls and the bluest glacier ice anywhere. After a nice long day paddling in the lagoon we'll be back at camp getting ready for an amazing dinner followed by beach combing and possibly an evening ocean sup/kayak to stark rock protrusions along the rugged coastline.
The following morning we'll wake up, have breakfast, and if the group feels like it, we can take a liesurely morning paddle in a kayak or SUP before we head back on the boat.
This is an affordable and amazing way to spend quality time in the Alaskan backcountry outside of Seward. Think of lounging on the beach at night and listening to the ice roll and calve, all while the ocean swells crash behind you on the beach. Absolutely Alaskan in everyway!
Evening Prior: We invite you to a pre-trip evening meeting at the Liquid Adventures shop in the small boat harbor. You’ll meet your trip leader and fellow paddlers and we will briefly discuss logistics and answer any last minute questions.
We also offer a guided rental option for those who wish to have just the kayaks and guide. This price is $550pp which is also based on 2 paddlers. Please call to book this option.
**Please keep in mind that this is a sample itinerary and may change depending on the weather, tides and individual paddling ability, but the highlights will remain the same**
