Safety Check!
Drysuits are Provided and Required for all Liquid Adventures trips in Bear Glacier
We provide drysuits for all of our clients as part of our Bear Glacier trips. We very rarely have clients in the water, but if it happens we want to be prepared. The water in Bear Glacier's lagoon is fed by glacier runoff, and it is kept colder than the ocean all summer long by giant icebergs. Even if the air temperature is warm, the water is still cold, so our drysuits provide the necessary safety buffer to make sure that getting wet is no big deal.
Even if you choose not to visit a glacier lagoon with us at Liquid Adventures, make sure that wearing a drysuit is part of your plan! It should be considered essential safety gear for any adventure in very cold water. (Note: we only have up to XXL drysuits. As a general rule, if you are close to or over 6'6" tall or 260lbs, you may not fit into our drysuits and cannot go on the trip. For suit dimensions, click here)

Difficulty Level
This is an adventurous trip in Seward Alaska.
It is very fun, but it is definitely a trip where you are exposed to the elements.
Paddlers should be comfortable spending several hours sitting in a kayak and walking short distances on uneven ground.
A kayaking adventure that combines two amazing ways to go remote
If you would like to spend a half-day kayaking in the stunning Bear Glacier Lagoon outside of Seward, Alaska, this is your perfect opportunity. Imagine the thrill of combining both a helicopter ride and a jet boat ride in one incredible adventure!
Your journey begins with a thrilling jet boat ride up a glacial river. Upon arrival, you'll explore the lagoon's spectacular icebergs from stable sit-on-top kayaks. The icebergs, released from the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park, float inside a fresh water lagoon separated from the ocean by a picturesque beach.
After your time on the water, you'll return by helicopter, enjoying breathtaking scenic views. This combination of jet boat and helicopter ensures a true Alaskan adventure, proving that the journey is just as amazing as the destination.
Please note that this is a sample itinerary, and the order of the jet boat and helicopter rides may be swapped.
This half-day trip offers a compact yet unforgettable experience for avid wilderness seekers, kayakers, photographers, and anyone else wanting to be awestruck by the Alaskan backcountry.

Photography
We use sit-on-top kayaks for this trip. You can have your camera around your neck or in a dry bag — we do have water-tight compartments in all of our sit-in kayaks for you to store your gear, but it can be hard to access these compartments while on the water.
Remember; you are on water! You are ultimately responsible for keeping your awesome camera gear dry!
Due to Park regulations, occasional helicopter traffic, and consideration of other guests, we do not allow drones to be flown on this trip.
Essential Details
It's important to bring comfortable and warm clothes to wear under your drysuit to ensure that your experience is as pleasant as possible.
We highly recommend that you avoid wearing cotton or denim layers.
